The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has addressed the claims made by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP alleged that the current administration inherited over N10bn from the previous government and that the government has kept N17.2bn of the recently accessed bond in a secret bank without using it for any projects.
In response to these claims, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, issued a statement. He stated that there is little to respond to other than to expose the PDP for what it truly is: a group of dishonest politicians who are stuck in the past.
Ajakaye mentioned that the PDP held a press conference on October 10, 2023, where they made these allegations. He emphasized that there is no substantial evidence to support their claims.
The Governor’s spokesperson criticized the PDP for being dishonest and trying to deceive the public. He urged the media and the people of Kwara State to see through their false accusations.
