Lere Olayinka said, “I would have ignored those people whose horizon is not beyond noise making to attract the usual political attention. However, it has become necessary to let them know that their time of success is over and they need to find something else to do.”
He also mentioned that the party is not as strong as it used to be and the people in charge need to stop being arrogant. He believes that if they don’t change, the party might collapse. Lere Olayinka thinks that some people in Ekiti who have always relied on Ayo Fayose to win elections are not realizing that things have changed.
Just to give you some background, Ayo Fayose was suspended from the party before because of some things he did during the 2023 general elections. But later, the National Working Committee decided to reverse the suspension.
