Hey there, middle schoolers! Today, we’re going to talk about a political situation in Anambra State. The governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has something to say to the All Progressives Congress (APC) who want to take over the state in the next election. Let’s dive in!
So, here’s the deal. The APC is feeling pretty confident about winning the state in the 2025 governorship election ever since Senator Ifeanyi Ubah joined their party. The state chairman of the APC, Mr Basil Ejidike, even said that the ruling party, APGA, will disappear when the APC takes over in 2025.
But guess what? Governor Soludo has something to say about that! In a press release written by his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, Soludo made it clear that no other party, not even the APC, can replace APGA in Anambra State.
Soludo’s press release said, “The APC doesn’t exist in Anambra State. Anambra State is APGA land and will always be APGA land because the people have accepted APGA as their own political movement. The APC and other opposition parties can’t change that.”
Soludo also wanted to set the record straight about his accomplishments as governor. He said that the APC chairman, Basil Ejidike, must not be aware of what’s happening in Anambra State. Soludo mentioned that in just two years, he has transformed the state into a construction site with lots of development projects.
He said, “There are roads and other infrastructures that Soludo has built. Anyone with normal vision can see the progress. Something must be wrong with Basil Ejidike if he can’t see that.”
So, there you have it! Governor Soludo is confident that APGA will continue to be the ruling party in Anambra State. He believes that the people of Anambra are happy with his work and will support him. Let’s see how things unfold in the next election!
