The North Central APC Forum, which is part of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has issued a warning to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). They are cautioning him against taking any actions or making moves that could harm the party or the North Central region.
The Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, spoke out about this issue in Jos, the capital of Plateau State. The Forum had an emergency meeting to review the election tribunal judgements and evaluate how the APC has been doing so far.
According to reports, Wike is still involved with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while also being a part of the APC. This is causing concern among members of the Forum. They believe that Wike is supporting the PDP in various activities, especially in the post-election court cases.
The Forum is urging Wike to make a clear decision about which party he truly belongs to. If his actions go against the interests of the APC, they will not hesitate to take action against him, including legal measures. As an appointive office holder of the APC and a lawyer known for fighting political-legal battles, Wike should be supporting and strategizing for the victory of APC candidates in the courts.
Zazzaga also warned Wike against using his position as the FCT Minister to plan for his own presidential ambitions in 2027. The Forum wants to ensure that Wike’s loyalty lies with the nation, the APC, and President Bola Tinubu before he focuses on his own interests.
