An important leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) youth group, Hyde Kalu, has made a plea to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Kalu is urging Atiku to withdraw the lawsuit he filed against President Bola Tinubu in the United States.
In the lawsuit, Atiku requested a US district court to order Chicago State University, which is Tinubu’s former school, to release the President’s academic records.
Kalu believes that it is best for the Nigerian judiciary to handle any disputes arising from the 2023 presidential election. He emphasizes that the ongoing legal battle in the US is bringing negative attention to Nigeria on the global stage.
Nigeria is being ridiculed internationally due to this legal dispute. Kalu pleads with Atiku to spare the country from further embarrassment.
Kalu acknowledges Atiku as a statesman who genuinely cares for Nigeria. He appeals to Atiku’s patriotism and asks him to drop the case to prevent the public exposure of internal conflicts. Kalu believes that there are better ways to handle this matter and maintain the friendship between Atiku and President Tinubu.
Kalu reminds everyone that the election is over, and a president has been elected. He emphasizes the importance of unity and asks Atiku to consider the greater good of the country by discontinuing the case in America.
