The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, is going to have a press conference to talk about President Bola Tinubu’s academic records. Atiku Abubakar’s team sent out an invitation for a press conference. The invitation said that the conference will take place at the Yar’Adua Centre on Thursday, October 5, 2023. The exact time will be announced later. They want people to come and listen to what Atiku has to say about President Tinubu’s academic records. It’s a big deal!
Atiku Abubakar used a court subpoena to get President Tinubu’s education records from the Chicago State University (CSU). These records were released on October 3 and there was another document released on Tuesday. They showed that the certificate Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 1979 was different from the certificates the University gave out that same year.
The person in charge of keeping records at CSU, called the Registrar, said that he couldn’t confirm if the certificate Tinubu showed to INEC was real or not. That’s a big problem!
Since the release of these documents, Atiku Abubakar has been quiet. He hasn’t said anything about it. But now, he’s going to have a press conference to address the issue. We’ll have to wait and see what he has to say!
