The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Network wants the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make things clear about the upcoming Bayelsa governorship election on November 11. They are concerned about the conflicting statements from INEC regarding the electronic transmission of election results, which is causing doubt and tension among Nigerians.
The Coordinator of the PDP Youth Network, Mr. James Oputin, pointed out that the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ofiong Efanga, surprised Bayelsans by saying that INEC would use manual transmission of results. However, the Chairman, Prof Mahmud Yakubu, contradicted him by stating that the results would be transmitted electronically.
The PDP Youth Network is calling on INEC to provide clear and consistent information about the election process. They believe that Nigerians deserve to know how the results will be transmitted to ensure transparency and avoid any doubts or controversies.
