Egyptian football legend, Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam, recently made a claim about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah. According to Mido, Salah will eventually join the Saudi Pro League next year. This prediction comes after Salah was linked to a move to Al-Ittihad, a team in the Saudi Pro League, during the summer transfer window.
Al-Ittihad made a whopping £150 million bid for Salah, but Liverpool turned it down. The club wanted to keep Salah, and they successfully held onto him when the Saudi transfer window closed on September 7.
Despite Liverpool’s refusal, Mido still believes that Salah will eventually make his way to the Middle East. However, he thinks it would be great if Salah could win the Premier League title with Liverpool before leaving.
Mido shared, “After the next season, Salah will only have one season left on his contract with Liverpool. At that point, Liverpool will not be able to ask for more than £70 or 80 or 100 million for the sale of Mohamed Salah.”
Since joining Liverpool six years ago, Salah has been an essential player for the team. He has scored an impressive 188 goals and provided 81 assists in 309 games across various competitions under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.
Only time will tell if Mido’s prediction comes true. Until then, fans will eagerly watch Salah’s journey with Liverpool and see what the future holds for this talented player.
