Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation magazine, recently explained why he changed his mind about supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Momodu, who is a former presidential aspirant and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been engaged in a social media feud with APC supporters who are upset with his decision not to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.
In a recent post on X, Momodu criticized APC supporters for being fixated on an interview where he mentioned that Tinubu gave him 500 pounds during his exile in London. He clarified that the gift was not meant to make him subservient and that he had repaid Tinubu’s kindness many times over.
Momodu stated that he would support a government that is reasonable and sympathetic towards the citizens of Nigeria. He explained that he had considered supporting APC in 2015 but had concerns about the leadership of President Buhari, which he believed was leading the country in the wrong direction.
