Hey there, middle schoolers! Guess what? The residents of Nasarawa West Senatorial District are not happy with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their candidate, David Ombugadu. Why, you ask? Well, they think the PDP is trying to use the judiciary to go against the will of the people. And that’s not cool!
The senatorial district is made up of Keffi, Karu, Kokona, Nasarawa, and Toto local governments. Last Friday, the residents all gathered in Keffi to show their displeasure about a recent judgement. This judgement removed Governor Abdullahi Sule from office. Can you believe it?
To show their support for Governor Sule, the residents held up placards with messages expressing their surprise and dissatisfaction with the judgement. Some of the messages said things like “We voted for Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule and no one else” and “nobody should ever think of using the judiciary to go against our will.” They really want their voices to be heard!
The residents are now calling on the Court of Appeal to fix what they see as an unfair decision by the tribunal. They want the rightful governor to be back in power.
Prince Attajiri, the Western Coordinator, spoke on behalf of Governor Sule and asked everyone to stay calm. He wants the supporters of Governor Sule to be patient and not cause any trouble.
