Age is Just a Number: Ndume’s Advice to Akpabio
There have been rumors of a disagreement between Senator Ali Ndume, the Senate Chief Whip, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio. However, Ndume wants to set the record straight and downplay the reported rift.
During an interview on the Arise TV programme, Morning Show, Ndume confidently stated that he is older than Akpabio and can offer him advice on matters concerning the Senate. He even mentioned that he was the Director-General of Akpabio’s campaign, making him his number one supporter and marketer for the position of Senate President.
Ndume emphasized that it is natural for people to have different opinions and disagreements, but that doesn’t mean they have to fight. He sees Akpabio as a colleague with whom he shares common interests.
In October, there was a heated argument between Akpabio and Ndume on the Senate floor. The tension escalated to the point where Ndume walked out of the session.
