Jonathan’s Visit to Tinubu Criticized by Aisha Yesufu
Aisha Yesufu, a socio-political activist, has expressed her disapproval of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to President Bola Tinubu. Jonathan had visited the Presidential Villa Abuja to congratulate Tinubu on the Supreme Court verdict affirming his election.
During their meeting, Jonathan emphasized the need for past presidents to unite and find solutions to alleviate poverty among the masses. He also stated that the election matters were over and it was time to support Tinubu.
However, Aisha Yesufu took to her social media handle to criticize Jonathan, comparing him to a child without shoes. She referred to the “law of the lid” concept, suggesting that Jonathan’s leadership had limitations. Yesufu also pointed out that Jonathan had made Buhari an option, despite defeating him easily in the 2011 election.
Furthermore, Yesufu criticized Jonathan’s administration for its handling of killings, claiming that he found them amusing. She argued that people had romanticized his presidency, falsely turning him into a hero.
