
Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Social Democratic Party (SDP) are confident about their chances of winning the upcoming governorship election in Kogi State. They have also outlined their plans if elected.
During the Third GYB Seminar for Nigeria’s Political and Crime Correspondents/Editors in Abuja, Governor Yahaya Bello expressed his belief that the APC would achieve a landslide victory. He praised the achievements of the APC in the past seven and a half years and highlighted the capabilities of their candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo. Bello stated that Ododo understands the process and will lead Kogi to even greater heights.
Bello, who plans to retire after leaving office in 2024, emphasized the need for a successor like Ododo to continue the state’s development. He mentioned some of his accomplishments, such as allocating 30% of the budget to education, which resulted in the establishment of two new state universities. Bello also highlighted the improvement in Kogi’s security situation, as well as advancements in healthcare and revenue generation.
The PDP candidate, Ajaka, believes that his election will bring liberation to Kogi State. He aims to address the arrested development in the state and restore progress. Similarly, the SDP candidate, Adeleke, believes that his rule will restore Kogi’s development, which has been hindered in recent years.
All parties are confident about their chances of winning the November 11 governorship poll in Kogi State. They believe that their respective candidates have what it takes to lead the state to prosperity. As the election approaches, the people of Kogi eagerly await the opportunity to cast their votes and determine the future of their state.
