Today, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, declared open the 43rd Annual Conference and 18th Managing Director’s Roundtable of the Port Management Association of West and Central Africa (PMAWCA) in Lagos. He did this on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
After the conference, Minister Oyetola met with a delegation from the United States. The delegation included the U.S. Consul General, Will Stevens, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Business and Economic Affairs, Ramin Toloui, and Michael Ervin.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed their previous discussions and agreed to meet again in the future. At this upcoming meeting, they will discuss and agree upon specific areas of collaboration, partnerships, and cooperation.
The minister expressed his gratitude to the US government for their interest in supporting the growth and development of Nigeria’s Marine and Blue Economy. He believes that this collaboration will benefit both Nigerians and the people of the United States.
