The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has expressed his disappointment with the lack of progress in negotiations with the Nigerian government.
In an interview with Arise Television, Ajaero revealed that all approaches made by the Congress to resolve their demands have been unsuccessful.
Ajaero criticized the government’s insensitivity towards their urgent demands. He stated, “From item one to item seven, nothing has been achieved. That is the height of insensitivity. We are in an emergency, asking for more time is a crime.”
The NLC is currently on strike to fight for better working conditions and improved welfare for Nigerian workers. Despite the lack of progress in negotiations, they remain committed to their cause.
