The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the North East zone, including the Executive Committee and stakeholders, have once again confirmed the expulsion of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.
During a meeting held in Bauchi on Friday, the NNPP North East expressed their dissatisfaction with the Appeal Court’s decision to remove Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from office.
Dr. Babayo Liman, the NNPP National Vice Chairman North, assured the governor of their unwavering support and emphasized the importance of unity among NNPP members across the country.
The meeting also confirmed the dissolution of the NNPP’s National Working Committee (NWC) led by Abba Kawu Ali.
The North East NNPP executive committee and stakeholders expressed their confidence in Dr. Boniface Aniebonan, the founder and life member of the Board of Trustees. They also reaffirmed the election of Dr. Tope Aluko as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Engr. Mohammed Babayo Abdullahi as Secretary.
The appointment of Dr. Agbo Major as the leader of the new NWC was also reaffirmed during the meeting.
