He claims that some people who are being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for financial fraud are actually members of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet. In a statement he shared with journalists on Sunday, Mr Osita Chidoka, who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accused President Bola Tinubu of appointing individuals who are currently under investigation by the EFCC. This means that these people are being looked into because of suspicions of financial fraud.
But that’s not all! Mr Osita also criticized the President for appointing a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as his minister. This person’s name is Hannatu Musawa, and she was still completing her one-year compulsory service with the NYSC when she was chosen for the position of Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.
Now, here’s where things get even more interesting. Mr Osita mentioned an order by the United States Court that directed the Chicago State University to release President Bola Tinubu’s academic records to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who is a Presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 presidential election.
According to Mr Osita, the battle between Atiku and Tinubu over the academic records is a “national disgrace.” He believes that it’s a tragedy that for 23 years, there have been ongoing questions about President Tinubu’s qualifications. It’s concerning that someone could be sworn in as President without clear information about their educational background.
Mr Osita also pointed out that under President Tinubu’s leadership, a current youth corps member is serving as a Minister. This means that someone who is still in the process of completing their mandatory national service is holding a high-ranking government position. Additionally, he mentioned that individuals who are publicly known to be under investigation by the EFCC are sitting in the Federal Executive Council, which is a group of important government officials. It’s alarming that these individuals passed through security screening despite their questionable circumstances.
