Hey everyone! So, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State recently visited President Bola Tinubu after the Supreme Court’s ruling on the presidential election. And guess what? He says he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation for it!
Diri is from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and he won the election. But some people are getting all worked up and spreading lies about his visit to Tinubu. They even shared a video of Diri congratulating Tinubu after the Supreme Court confirmed his victory.
But you know what Diri said? He said there’s nothing strange about his visit to Tinubu. He was just being friendly, that’s all.
He talked about it during a visit to Igbedi community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area. Diri explained that he had the right to congratulate President Tinubu after the Supreme Court’s decision. He also mentioned that he went to the presidential villa to discuss important state matters with the president, and everything went well.
Diri said, “On Thursday, I was in Abuja, and many of you saw the video going around. The opposition is getting nervous and spreading lies. But that’s just what they do. As a governor, I don’t need to explain my visit to the president to them.”
So there you have it! Governor Diri visited Tinubu, and he doesn’t feel the need to explain it to anyone. Sometimes, people make a big deal out of nothing, right?
