Guess what? President Bola Tinubu just made a surprising move! He has ordered the withdrawal of Engr Imam Kashim Imam’s nomination as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
According to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Media Aide, the withdrawal of Imam’s nomination takes effect immediately. However, it’s important to note that this decision does not affect any other appointments to the board and executive management team of FERMA.
There has been a lot of criticism towards the Federal Government for appointing Imam, who is believed to be only 24 years old, to the board of FERMA. However, the specific reasons behind the withdrawal of his nomination have not been disclosed by the presidency.
