Hey there, middle schoolers! Some big news coming from Plateau State! The National and State Houses of Assembly election Tribunal has made a decision that will shake things up. They have removed Timothy Dantong, who was representing Riyom constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Instead, they have declared Moses Dachum from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election. Woah!
Now, you might be wondering why the Tribunal decided to do this. Well, they said that at the time of the election, the PDP didn’t have a valid structure to fill in a candidate. Basically, they didn’t follow the rules properly. The court also mentioned that the PDP was not obeying a court order from Justice S P Gang of Plateau State High Court, which was given on November 26, 2020. Yikes!
