Hey there, middle schoolers! Did you know that oil marketers in Nigeria are facing a big problem? They are having a hard time distributing petrol all over the country. Why, you ask? Well, it’s because the price of diesel, which they use to power their trucks, has gone up a lot.
Can you believe that diesel now costs N1,100 per litre in many places? That’s a lot of money! The oil marketers are really worried about this and they want the government to do something about it.
The oil marketers, who are part of a group called the Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers’ Association of Nigeria (NOGASA), have spoken up about their concerns. Their president, Benneth Korie, even released a statement about it.
They are really upset because the price of diesel has been going up a lot in the past few months. They are trying to figure out why this is happening and how they can make the prices more reasonable.
NOGASA said, “We are worried about this problem and we want to understand why diesel prices are so high. We want to find a way to make the prices lower and help the economy.”
So, the oil marketers are asking the government to step in and help them out. They want the government to take action and fix this problem before it gets worse.
It’s really important for the government to listen to the concerns of the oil marketers. If they don’t, it could become even harder for us to get petrol in the future. Let’s hope that the government takes action soon and finds a solution to this problem!
