Africa’s Leadership Challenge: Uniting for Change
Hey there, middle schoolers! Did you know that Africa has the potential to become the greatest continent in the 21st century? Well, according to Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education, this can happen if the citizens come together to change the leadership system.
Dr. Ezekwesili believes that the biggest challenge in Africa is poor leadership. She even says that the continent is being governed by the worst people! But she also believes that if Africans take deliberate actions to change this, Africa can shine in the 21st century.
Dr. Ezekwesili is the founder of the School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG). This school was created to groom leaders with integrity who can bring positive change to the political and business sectors.
During the graduation ceremony of the SPPG, Dr. Ezekwesili encouraged the graduands to always have good character and uphold the values of character, competence, and capacity. These values are important for becoming successful leaders.
