A former director-general of Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Dr. Salihu Lukman, has accused President Bola Tinubu of allegedly alienating members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his appointments.
Lukman, who likened Tinubu to former president Muhammadu Buhari, said APC members have become orphans under Tinubu. In a piece entitled, “Nigerian Politics of Morbid Desire for Naked Power,” the immediate past national vice chairman (North West) of the ruling urged the president to undertake the “moral and spiritual reconstruction” as proposed by one of the nation’s founding fathers,
Expressing the fear that APC would be rendered prostrate under the Tinubu administration, the Kaduna politician restated restoration of orderliness in the party. Lukman claimed that disloyal APC leaders have not only gone unpunished, but some of them reappointed by the current administration. He alleged: “Appointments into governments were or are practically carried out exclusively without consulting either the party organs or leaders, both during the tenure of former President (Muhammadu) Buhari and currently under President Asiwaju Tinubu.
