The wife of the governor of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has made a generous promise to support the education of an eight-year-old boy whose father was tragically killed by unknown individuals.
Hajiya Huriyya met with the young boy in her office and assured him that she would sponsor his education. If he is interested in studying, she even offered to enroll him in a military school.
Additionally, she promised to provide financial assistance to both the boy and his mother.
The Commissioner for Women, Children, and Social Development Affairs, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, also pledged the state government’s support for the boy.
Last month, a video went viral showing the eight-year-old boy expressing his sadness over his father’s death and vowing to seek revenge.
During their meeting, the governor’s wife advised the boy to let go of his desire for revenge and focus on building a better future for himself through education.
