The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State is urging the Inspector-General of Police to extend the investigation of a notorious political thug, Dauda Olalekan Ajagungbade, to the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. The APC claims that Ajagungbade is an ally of the governor and has been involved in various criminal activities.
Ajagungbade, also known as Emir, was arrested by the police in Osun State for physically assaulting a man with dangerous weapons. He is also wanted for alleged crimes including murder, cultism, kidnapping, and possession of firearms. The APC alleges that Ajagungbade was involved in the killings of five people and the burning of another person in a cruel manner in Osogbo. He is also accused of leading political thugs to disrupt elections in different areas of the state.
The APC claims that Governor Adeleke has been protecting and associating with these political thugs. They argue that the governor’s administration has allowed the influx of hoodlums into the state and has provided them with executive protection. The APC also accuses Adeleke of giving political patronage and employment opportunities to these criminals.
The APC sympathizes with the people of Ilesa, where recent violent attacks occurred, but criticizes Governor Adeleke for shedding “crocodile tears” over the incidents. They argue that his administration is thuggery-friendly and has deliberately tolerated actions that disrupt the state’s peaceful atmosphere. The APC chairman calls on the police to intensify their operations and apprehend other political hoodlums in the state.
The APC in Osun State is demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged crimes committed by Dauda Olalekan Ajagungbade and urges the police to extend the investigation to Governor Adeleke. They accuse the governor of protecting and empowering political thugs and claim that his administration is responsible for the rise in violence and criminal activities in the state.
