The All Progressives Congress, also known as APC, has decided to temporarily stop its campaign for the upcoming Kogi Governorship Election on November 11th.
This decision was made out of respect for Ms. Khadijat Yahaya, a member of the party who tragically lost her life after being attacked by suspected thugs.
According to Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the spokesperson for the State Campaign Council, this suspension was announced on Tuesday.
On September 29th, a clash occurred between supporters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the APC in Kotonkarfe. Sadly, Khadijat lost her life during this confrontation.
Alhaji Usman Ododo, the APC governorship candidate for the state, visited Khadijat’s family in Kotonkarfe on Tuesday to express his condolences for their loss.
Ododo was deeply saddened by her passing and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
