The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, wants everyone to know that the Nigerian Army is determined to address the security challenges faced by Benue State and its neighboring areas.
During a visit to Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, the COAS expressed his gratitude for the good relationship between the state and the Nigerian Army. He thanked the governor and the people of Benue for their support.
Governor Alia, in response, appreciated the efforts and sacrifices made by the troops in maintaining peace in the state. He assured them of his administration’s continuous support to improve their effectiveness in protecting lives and property.
The COAS also visited the 4 Special Forces Command of the Nigerian Army in Doma, Nasarawa State. He commended the troops for their dedication and urged them to maintain the highest level of professionalism in their duties
During his visit, the COAS assured the troops that the Federal Government and the Army High Command are working to improve infrastructure and provide the necessary resources for them to perform their roles effectively.
