Four members of the 10th Benue State House Assembly have been suspended for three whole months! Can you believe it?
Well, it turns out that these four members were causing a lot of trouble and disruptions during a meeting on Monday. They were interfering with the smooth functioning of legislative affairs. Not cool, right?
Let me tell you who got in trouble. There’s Honourable Solomon Gyila, who represents Gwer West State Constituency. Then we have Honorable Douglass Akya, who is a member representing Makurdi South. Next up is Rt Honorable Dyako Ashwa, who represents Konshisha State Constituency. And last but not least, we have Honorable Anthony Agom from Okpokwu State Constituency. These are the four troublemakers!
So, the Majority Leader of the House, Honourable Saater Tiseer, made a motion to suspend these troublemakers. And you know what? The motion was seconded by Honourable Peter Ipusu from Katsina-Alaa West State Constituency. They all agreed that these four members needed to be suspended.
Well, the assembly had to stop their meeting because of all this drama. They decided to adjourn the session and take a break. But don’t worry, they will be back tomorrow, December 5, 2023, to continue their important work.
That’s all the news for now, folks! Stay tuned for more updates.
