Hey there, middle schoolers! We’ve got some awesome news to share with you. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has just appointed one of the leaders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the new Aranyin of Iranyin. Cool, right?
Now, let’s break it down. Iranyin is a town in the Surulere Local Government Area of Ogbomoso in Oyo State. The previous Aranyin, Oba Jimoh Oyelota, sadly passed away, leaving the position vacant.
But guess what? Prince Lasisi Olagbemileke Oladimeji Omogboye, a leader in the PDP, has been chosen to fill this important role. The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Olusegun Olayiwola, signed a letter confirming the appointment. How exciting!
The letter says that Prince Omogboye’s appointment officially starts on October 20. It also wishes him a successful reign filled with peace, progress, and socio-economic growth in Surulere. That’s a big responsibility, but we believe he’s up for the challenge!
Now, here’s the thing. We don’t know the exact date when Prince Omogboye will be formally installed as the Aranyin of Iranyin. But we’ll keep you updated as soon as we find out. Stay tuned!
