The Ebonyi State Government, led by Governor Francis Nwifuru, is determined to address the issue of insecurity and prevent crimes at the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport in Onueke, Ezza South LGA. The Commissioner of Aviation and Transport Technology, Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu, recently spoke to the press in Abakaliki about the government’s efforts to improve airport security.
Mrs Ngozi Obichukwu explained that a six-day sensitization program was conducted for the airport security operatives and staff. The main goal of this program was to strengthen the security measures at the airport and its surroundings. By doing so, they aim to combat the challenges faced by flight and airport operations and ensure the safety of both travelers and airline operators in the state.
Nnanna Nwangele, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Airport Security, assured everyone that the lives and properties of travelers and airline operators will be adequately protected. He proudly stated that Ebonyi State is the safest state in the southeast region of Nigeria.
