So, there’s this guy named Hudi Yunusa-Ari who works for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Adamawa State. But guess what? He didn’t show up in court when he was supposed to!
Well, Yunusa-Ari is in some trouble because of the 2023 governorship election in Adamawa State. The Federal High Court in Abuja said that INEC can prosecute him for some things he did during that election.
The judge in the Adamawa State High Court, Justice Benjamin Manji, was not happy that Yunusa-Ari didn’t show up. He told INEC to bring him to court on November 23, 2023, which is the next time they will be meeting.
The police were supposed to give Yunusa-Ari a notice telling him to come to court. But guess what? They couldn’t find him! They even went to his house, but he wasn’t there. The police also couldn’t find the person who promised to make sure Yunusa-Ari showed up in court.
The judge gave the prosecution counsel, Justice Rotimi Jacobs, two weeks to find Yunusa-Ari and bring him to court. Let’s hope they can find him this time!
