Guess what? President Bola Tinubu just did something really important! He recently swore in eight new Permanent Secretaries. That’s a big deal!
These eight new Permanent Secretaries were chosen because they did really well in the Federal Civil Service selection process. That means they are super smart and qualified for their new positions.
Before the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting started, President Tinubu held a special ceremony to officially swear in the new Permanent Secretaries. It took place at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
Let me introduce you to the new Permanent Secretaries:
- Ndakayo-Aishetu Gogo
- Bako Deborah Odoh
- Omachi Raymond Omenka
- Ahmed Dunoma Umar
- Watti Tinuke
- Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji
- Rimi Nura Abba
- Ella Nicholas Agbo
Right now, President Tinubu is leading the weekly FEC meeting. He’s in charge and making important decisions with the help of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Also attending the meeting are some other important people like the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume; the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan; and Ministers.
It’s a busy and exciting day in the government!
