The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, wants us to know that governance is not just one person’s job. It’s something we all have a part in. He shared this important message during a retreat for the leadership of the 10th National Assembly.
The retreat was organized by the National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies, in collaboration with Konrad – Adenauer-Stiftunh e. V. It took place at the Four Point by Sheraton hotel in Ikot Ekpene LGA.
When we talk about governance, we’re talking about how a country or organization is run. It’s all about making decisions and taking actions to make things better for everyone.
The Vice President wants us to understand that governance is not something that one person can do alone. It’s a team effort. We all have a responsibility to contribute and make a difference.
Good governance is important because it helps create a fair and just society. When everyone works together and takes responsibility, we can make sure that everyone’s needs are met and that everyone has a voice.
As citizens, we have a role to play in governance. We can participate in elections, voice our opinions, and hold our leaders accountable. By staying informed and getting involved, we can help shape the decisions that affect our lives.
Remember, governance is not just the job of one person. It’s a collective responsibility that we all share. Let’s work together to create a better future for ourselves and our communities.
