Hey there, middle schoolers! We have some important news to share with you. The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are urging the people of Bayelsa to vote wisely and be on the lookout for any tricks from opposing parties during the upcoming gubernatorial election on November 11th.
At the Bayelsa State PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Grand Finale, held at the Ox-bow Lake Pavilion Swali in Yenagoa, the party leaders emphasized the importance of protecting your votes. They want you to be aware of any attempts to manipulate the election results and ensure that your voice is heard.
Don’t let anyone discourage you from voting! There have been rumors of violence that might make people not want to vote. But the PDP leaders want you to know that your vote matters, and you should not be afraid to exercise your right to vote.
The PDP Acting National Chairman, Amb. Iliya Damagum, handed the party flag to the governorship candidate, Governor Duoye Diri. He encouraged the people of Bayelsa to take control of their destiny by reelecting a governor who has brought prosperity to the state.
The flag represents victory, development, peace, and prosperity for everyone. The PDP believes that by voting for their party, you can continue to experience progress and growth in Bayelsa.
The PDP leaders reminded everyone of the party’s track record. They highlighted that the PDP gave Bayelsa and the South-South zone the opportunity to produce a President in Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. They urged Bayelsans to reciprocate this gesture by voting for the PDP in the upcoming election.
Several prominent figures also expressed their support for Governor Diri. Chairman of the PDP Bayelsa Governorship National Campaign Council, Agbu Kefas, described Diri as a symbol of peace, development, and prosperity. He praised Diri’s dedication to the welfare and wellbeing of his people.
Former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, spoke on behalf of his colleagues in the National Assembly and attested to Diri’s exemplary character and capacity.
