Hey there, middle schoolers! Guess what? Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has a message for his opponents in the recent governorship election. He wants them to join forces with him to make our state even better!
According to Governor Uzodimma, his opponents didn’t really lose. Instead, it was the people of the state who won. Isn’t that cool?
In a state broadcast on Monday afternoon, Governor Uzodimma, who belongs to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reached out to his challengers and offered them an olive branch. He wants everyone to work together to lift our state up.
Just so you know, Governor Uzodimma won the election by a huge margin. He defeated Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Athan Achonu of the Labour Party. Impressive, right?
After the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner, Governor Uzodimma gave an acceptance speech. He thanked God for his victory and also mentioned that his first-term victory was also thanks to God and the people of Imo State.
In his speech, Governor Uzodimma said, “In a democratic contest like the one on Saturday, only one person will emerge victorious.” He congratulated and commiserated with his fellow candidates, showing respect for their efforts.
So, let’s all come together and support Governor Uzodimma in his mission to make Imo State an even better place for all of us. Working together, we can achieve great things!
