The State Working Committee of the Kano chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has reversed the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Ganduje. Also, the committee suspended the ward leaders who earlier suspended Ganduje.
Leaders in Ganduje’s ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government had, on Monday, suspended the APC national chairman.
However, in a quick counter, the party’s local government officials thwarted the suspension and sacked those behind it
The Dawakin Tofa APC Chairman, Inusa Dawanau, said those behind Ganduje’s suspension were involved in anti-party activities. He added that their meetings with the opposition were exposed
Meanwhile, according to the committee, Ganduje’s suspension is invalid, null and void and cannot stand.
Also, the state’s APC chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, said they had adopted the decisions of the Local Government party leaders. He added that the ward leaders’ anti-party activities were being investigated.
“We have evidence of meetings between the State Government officials and those who suspended the National Chairman.
“And the State Working Committee has agreed to sanction them for six months. They will remain suspended until the expiration of the period,” Abbas said.

The Kano State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Haruna Dederi, confirmed the development. He said Ganduje would be arraigned alongside his wife and six others.
