Hey there, middle schoolers! Big news from Lagos State! Hakeem Muri-Okunola, who was the Head of Service, has decided to step down from his position. But don’t worry, he’s not leaving to take a break or anything. In fact, he’s got a new job lined up!
Muri-Okunola has been appointed as President Bola Tinubu’s Principal Secretary. That means he’ll be working closely with Tinubu and helping him with important tasks. It’s a big responsibility, but Muri-Okunola is ready for the challenge!
In a letter to his fellow civil servants, Muri-Okunola announced that his career in the civil service will come to an end on September 29, 2023. He also made sure to inform the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, about his decision to resign.
Muri-Okunola expressed his gratitude for the amazing journey he had as the Head of Service. He said it was a fulfilling experience that he will always cherish. But now, he’s ready to move on and serve the man who inspired him to join public service in the first place – President Bola Tinubu.
In his new role in The Presidency, Muri-Okunola will be working hard to assist and contribute to President Bola Tinubu’s agenda called “The Renewed Hope.” He wants to make a positive impact and help Tinubu achieve his goals for the country.
So, there you have it! Muri-Okunola is stepping up to serve Tinubu and make a difference in Nigeria. We wish him all the best in his new role!
