Hey there, middle schoolers! Guess what? The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has a message for all the people living in Abuja. He wants them to be prepared for some tough decisions. But don’t worry, he says these decisions are for the greater good of the nation’s capital.
Wike wants the residents to be patient and not get upset with the government. He knows that these tough decisions might seem hard, but they are necessary. He said this while meeting with a former FCT Senator and a candidate from a different political party.
According to Wike, “I urge residents to be patient; we are going to take tough decisions. Residents should not see it as punitive but for the good of the FCT.”
Guess what else? The President, Bola Tinubu, has given orders to build at least a 5km road in each area council. This means that the government is working on improving the roads in Abuja to make it easier for people to travel.
When Wike became the minister, he made a decision to demolish illegal structures in the FCT. These structures were not built according to the rules and regulations. He also warned that properties that are not developed within a certain time frame might be taken away.
So, middle schoolers, it looks like tough decisions are coming for the residents of Abuja. But remember, these decisions are being made to make the city better. Let’s trust the government and be patient as they work towards improving the capital!
