The Peoples Democratic Party Governorship Campaign Council in Imo State is sounding the alarm bells. They are urging the people of the state to be wary of a scheme called Operation Show Your PVC for Palliative. According to the opposition party, this is a ploy by Imo Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to forcefully take control of their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC).
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is concerned that Uzodinma is desperate to get his hands on their PVCs. They believe that he wants to use them to manipulate the upcoming governorship election on November 11. The PDP warns that this exercise is like a gift that comes with hidden dangers. It could expose their private identification numbers to unscrupulous individuals.
The PDP released a statement expressing their worries about the situation. They revealed that Uzodinma has already distributed the remaining palliatives to his government officials, with strict instructions to only give them to APC members who possess a PVC. This means that citizens who belong to other political parties like Labour Party, APGA, SDP, NNPP, PDP, and others will be left out.
The PDP sees this as not only concerning but also criminal and wicked. It goes against the Federal Government’s sharing template and shows that Uzodinma’s administration is petty and vindictive. They believe that Uzodinma and his party leaders have misused funds and resources meant for the people of Imo State for their own benefit.
The PDP is urging the people of Imo State to stay alert and not fall for this scheme. They should protect their PVCs and not allow anyone to forcefully take them away. It is important for every citizen to have a fair and equal opportunity to participate in the democratic process without any interference or manipulation.
Remember, your vote is your voice, and it should never be taken away from you.
