A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, is calling on the Justices of the Supreme Court to be brave as they make decisions on appeals challenging Bola Tinubu’s election as President.
Frank made this statement on Saturday in response to hearing notices from the apex court. The court has set up a seven-man panel of Justices to hear the appeals filed by three presidential candidates who are contesting Tinubu’s election. These candidates are Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Chichi Ojei of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Frank wants the Justices to understand that the appeals they are about to hear represent the toughest decision they will ever have to make in their long careers as judges. He acknowledges that there will be immense pressure on them to make the wrong choice. People may offer them promises, gifts, and other incentives to sway their decision.
