Hey there, middle schoolers! Today we’re going to talk about something serious that happened in Osun State. So, there are these retired people called pensioners, and they were supposed to go through a screening process. But guess what? Some of them actually collapsed during the screening! Yikes!
The pensioners are asking the government to change the way they do this screening thing. They want the government to spread it out to different places instead of having everyone go to one big center. This would help prevent more people from getting sick or even dying.
Can you believe that some of these pensioners were so old and weak that they couldn’t stand for a long time? They had to lie down or sit on the floor just to make it through the screening. It’s really sad to see them in such a tough situation.
Thankfully, there were some medics there who helped the collapsed pensioners. They used the State Ambulance Service to revive and stabilize them. Phew, that’s a relief!
Overall, it’s important for the government to listen to the pensioners and make changes to the screening process. They need to think about the health and well-being of these retired folks. Let’s hope they take action soon!
